Colour
Some people have difficulty reading text in certain colour
combinations.
People with dyslexia, for example,
often prefer a pastel background because it makes it easier for
them read the words. Other people need the text and background to
be in a highly contrasting colours.
People with learning difficulties usually don't have the sole
use of their own computer. Moreoften they have to share a computer
with other people, or use a public computer at the library or at
college.
So it is important that people have an easy way to change the
colour scheme on websites using on-screen buttons.
We recommend a choice of 4 alternatives to the default text:
- 2 options with black text on a pastel shade backgroud
- 1 option of black text on a bright colour background,
- 1 option of white text on a Black background.
