The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham wanted to make part
of their Adult Social Care website accessible to people with
learning difficulties. This was first time that a local authority
has added easy-video-pages to their main council website.
They also made the easy page
available on touch screen kiosks in various places in the borough -

Essex County Council wanted a website which would help anyone in
Essex to have the resources and skills to communicate effectively
with people with learning disabilities.
We
included over 100 videos which help people to learn common
signs.
We made a Easy-Video Website for the State of Care Summary 2010.
We developed several new features for this
site which will help people with learning difficulties to access
this information.

with learning difficulties and carers talking about the services
that are on offer.

Self-Advocacy group. People with learning difficulties from all the
diverse projects talk about their exciting work on over 20
videos.
We made this site award-winning site with the Promote the Vote team
at Speaking Up in Cambridge. The site is designed to help
people with learning difficulties in the UK
understand all about the electoral process. The site was awarded
the ACCESS-IT 2009 Good Practice Label.

Blackburn with Darwen with several people with learning
difficulties.
